The arrival of spring is a subtle thing in Florida, but the tabebuias of Tampa herald it with a grand explosion of neon pink and yellow all over town.

I think we should call this event Tampabuia.

More hikes around Hillsborough State Park:
Red-shouldered hawk hunting.
Bromeliads galore.
Native green fly orchids in bloom (epidendrum magnoliae).
Same spot every time. I tried to get a better photo of her yesterday but she bellyflopped into the river before I took my phone out.
And some long walks on the beach back in the Fort.
Terns facing the wind.
Cats doing cat stuff.
March forth and enjoy this beautiful weather! 🙂
Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos. Happy Spring!
Happy Spring to you, Evangelia! I miss you so much. It’s been far too long. I’ll be riding next to you as soon as I get that shot!
